Bye, Mauritius

It turns out we aren’t going to Mauritius.  The storms are so bad that we have to slow down and if we want to get to India on time.  Now we are just docking in Mauritius for refueling and no one is allowed off of the ship.  It is sad, but I guess it is a lot safer than trying to ride through the two cyclones that are currently in our path.

What else has happened in the last few days…  I signed up to audition to play a song for the talent show.  Auditions are March 10th, so we’ll see how that goes.  I bought a plane ticket for India.  Two friends and I are going to travel to Delhi and Mumbai by plane, so that should be interesting.  Yesterday was the midterm for Global Studies.  It wasn’t very difficult, but it’s good that it is over.

I thought there was a lot more to write about, but I can’t seem to think of it right now.  The Mauritius thing was the most important anyway.  Everyone on the ship is upset about it, but it’s better to be safe than stuck in a cyclone.

  1. I can't wait to see your photos from India! Their clothing is so colorful. Drink lots of Chai tea for me! And buy your mom some cool scarves!
