The waves are insane. Now that we have reached the Atlantic Ocean (and there are rough waters) it has been completely impossible to walk in a straight line. I have run into more than one wall today. My drama class was cancelled today and Global Studies is being broadcast on the TVs because some people are too sick to get out of bed. A ton of people have been sick, not sure why. They must not understand how fun it is to live with a moving floor. I’m pretty sure if there was background music and I was running down the hall really fast I would feel like I am in an action movie during a scene when I had to escape a collapsing building. The waves are getting so big outside of my window that they almost cover it at times. It’s really cool!
In other news… We had our second worship night last night. It was really cool because we spent some time praying for the people of Brazil, which was definitely a good way to end our time in Brazil. I went to the reflection night after getting back to the ship in Manaus, but I think I got a lot more out of just praying than hearing people talk. I think I did a little better on leading the music this time. I was able to borrow a capo from someone on ship. I don’t have the best guitar since it is rented. One of the strings came completely loose right before worship and I had to use a screwdriver to fix it.
Other than those things, I have just been doing the usual schoolwork, playing ukulele, giggling to myself while trying to walk up the stairs, watching the Office with Liz, Matt, and other Liz in the nook under the stairs, etc… So that is it for me tonight! We are jumping ahead an hour again tonight, so it is almost midnight here. Good night!
Just so you know, I am putting your quote, "I have run into more than one wall today" on my facebook quotes. It sounds wonderful, taken out of context. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat season of the Office are you guys on? Are you watching them in any order?
