A group of nine of us decided to head to the Science museum the next morning. After breakfast we all started walking to the subway. It was about a 20 minute walk, but once we were there we boarded the subway and were in the right place in less than half an hour. We had to walk through a market to get to the science museum. The science museum was a huge building with a giant glass dome in the middle.
We spent most of our time in the bottom floor of the museum, not realizing there was a way more awesome second floor. My favorite part was the robot exhibit. They had a robot doing archery and they let people try to shoot the bows and beat the robot. The robot wasn’t actually working when I was there, but I still got to shoot a few arrows. They were putting my arrows on the wrong way so the feathers kept getting caught on the bowstring so my aim wasn’t very good.
After the museum we went to Papa Johns for lunch. We spent the entire meal talking trying to figure out how to split the check between nine people. It was kind of funny, but very confusing.
Next we went shopping. At least everyone else went shopping while Morgan, Josh, Matt and I sat and waited for them. I bought some headphones, but that’s it. We headed back to the ship before everyone else with Liz O and a few others. We had lost the big group and it was a little too crowded to have to try to find them again.
Back on the ship we ate dinner and then Liz O and I had to get ready for our FDP. We were going to see a comedy drama at the theater. We were supposed to see the opera, but it wasn’t playing that night so our trip was changed to see a play instead. It was all in Cantonese and I didn’t understand a word. From the audience’s reactions, it must have been really funny. That would have been a good time to know Cantonese. It was pretty late when I got back that night and I had sunrise tai chi in the morning, so I went straight to my cabin.
